Musselburgh Lagoons

Willie Bell
18 December 2024

On a windy and grey morning, we had a good turnout of 12 walkers (Moira, Denise, Judith, Jan, Graham, Mike, Gerry, Bob, Richard, Andrew, Crawford and Willie) who met at Fisherrow Harbour in Musselburgh aka “The Honest Toun”.

Our route was east following the coast via the John Muir Way (JMW) to Prestongrange and back via Levenhall Links to Fisherrow. Then up to Newhailes Mansion House for coffee and cake, plus a catch up with Maureen who had survived her dental appointment. (Joyce had turfed to meet us on the east bank of the river Esk as we completed our walk, joining us for coffee and cakes!)

As Moira mentioned at the end of the walk, a picture tells a thousand words. Thus, this is the shortest write up of 2024 with photos of our walk.

See you soon, back on the JMW at Prestongrange to Aberlady and return.
