Gullane to Aberlady

9 Marauders enjoyed a leisurely walk from Gullane to Aberlady.

Traffic issues leaving Edinburgh delayed Willie and Joe which allowed others to partake of tea/coffee in the Old Clubhouse while awaiting their arrival. (and bacon rolls for some!)

Suitably prepared the party set off for a brief section along the A198 and were soon off road heading towards Aberlady Bay.

After a brief pause at the small Marl Loch, the only significant uphill was a dune which was safely conquered with a bypass option for those not risking a calf strain.

A 2nd breather was taken near Gullane Point with a shelter from the wind available.

Heading back to Gullane the party split briefly with some heading inland leaving the others to stay closer to the shore passing Hummell and Bleaching Rocks.

Before we knew it we were back at the Old Clubhouse where a pleasant lunch was enjoyed.

Thanks to Mike Baron for organising.
