Fifteen Marauders Moira and Crawford, Sarah, Alistair and Isobel, Stuart and Lesley, Sue and John, Denise, Pam, Sheila, Jan and Graham and Willie met at the Threpmuir Reservoir for the walk in the Pentlands.

The new path leading to the foot of West Kip allowed a steady warm up to soon reach the start of the climbing.

With the wind blowing as usual on the Pentlands it was decided to head over both Kips and seek some respite for a lunch stop.

Which indeed was achieved with a sheltered lunch looking to Scald Law, Carnethy Hill and Turnhouse Hill with the front Pentlands in the distance.

At this point Alistair and Isobel headed down to Green Cleugh with the rest of the group continuing up to the summit of Scald Law. Some passing Dutch walkers kindly took a summit photo of the team.

Straightforward descent off Scald Law down to The Howe and a return to the start via Green Cleugh.

Well deserved tea, coffee and excellent cakes provided a welcome finale at the Corner Cafe in Currie.
